Yesterday we looked at 5 things God offers us in the new year to remind us of His faithfulness. Here are 5 MORE things you can count on. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. (Hebrew 13:8)
We can know His grace is enough for us. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (2 Corinthians 12:9)
Our blessings and ugly-beautifuls will work for our good always. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)
He will not leave us or forsake us. For he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5) Fear not, for I am with you. (Isaiah 41:10)
He will love us with an everlasting love. But the steadfast love of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him. (Psalm 103:17) The LORD appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you. (Jeremiah 31:3)
He will show us his faithfulness in all things. Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations. (Deuteronomy 7:9) If we are faithless, he remains faithful– for he cannot deny himself. (2 Timothy 2:13)
An extra one to remember: Trials will come…(a hard one to grasp. Doesn’t always mean they will be big ones. It can even be just a trying day as a mom or a flat tire to slow you down, etc.) Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who
love him. (James 1:12) And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. (1 Peter 5:10) God offers so much to his children and I have only shared 10 11 things but His Word will share with us so many more teachings. I encourage you to seek out those promises and blessings He shares in His Word.
