Monday’s Musings #166

Monday's Musings #166 | What Joy Is Mine

You probably noticed that I took two weeks off instead of one. I needed it. My Love and I were dealing with some health issues and needed to take care of that, seriously. It’s amazing how when we need down time in life, the Lord sometimes has to intervene and make it happen because we won’t. I’m thankful He always knows what’s best even in the midst of trying situations. If we cross your mind, lift us up in prayer for complete healing and comfort & trust in God while we endure this season of life. Thank you.

Now, I’m not sure how much I will be blogging from here on out at least at this time. Oh, I do enjoy it much so I will make every effort to get back into the swing of things as best I can. I have several posts rolling around in my head, on paper and on my phone that I want to share. One thing about not blogging much, the ideas pile up! However, I am following the Lord’s leading concerning this.

Now, today is Memorial Day. Usually we head up to the military cemetery where my dad is buried and visit. We reflect on my dad’s life and 20 year service to his country. He loved our country and we do, too. Even with all its issues, we are free here. We don’t take that for granted. Our freedom came with a great price.

Memorial Day was originally called Decoration Day and was initiated to honor the soldiers for the Union and Confederate armies who died during the American Civil War. Today we remember all the men and women who have served our country to keep our freedom intact. It’s more than camping trips and cookouts. Today take the time to thank those around you who have served and serve in our military. Tell them you appreciate their service for our country and our freedom.

Now, let’s get to sharing.

Oh, Naomi! I am SO sorry to hear that you and your husband are having health issues. I am praying for both of you. God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we can ask or even think. Ephesians 3:20 I know how hard this can be, as we are facing issues here in our home, also. God is in control, and He always has our best interests at heart. May He restore health to both of you…and us, too, and may He allow you to keep blogging. It is plain to see how much it means to you, and you are such a blessing here. I am thankful for your Dad’s years of service, and I honor him, along with my Dad, and all of the others who were so faithful to stand up for our freedom. Even though we go through trials, we are so abundantly blessed. God be with you, sweet friend. If there is anything I can do, please always feel free to reach out to me through email.
