I agree that it’s so important to give ourselves grace when we’re just not able to accomplish what we set out to do. I’m in one of those seasons right now. I have the lists and schedules, but I also have 5 little ones ages 8 and under. So my list hardly ever actually gets finished. It’s easy to get discouraged and to feel like I’m not enough, especially when I compare myself to Proverbs 31! I always fall short. But that’s where God’s grace comes in. As long as I’ve kept my eyes on him, and refused to let anything come before Him in my life, then I don’t need to worry about all the things I didn’t cross off of the to-do list. All that said, having a list and a routine in place has helped me tremendously. And as difficult as it is, I find I’m a much more peaceful AND industrious mama if I get up before the kiddos (well, I have the nursing baby with me) and spend time reading the Bible, getting dressed, having a cup of coffee etc. It really makes such a difference for me these days.

Ashley…Thank you for sharing your story. There have been seasons in my life where my agenda didn’t always go as planned but I made them anyways. There was something peaceful about having something to go by even if I didn’t get but one thing done on it. :o) And I do like your morning routine, too. Thank you for visiting. :o)

Thank you Naomi for your biblical wisdom. I have to admit I put off a lot of things and end up being frazzled. The time I seemed to manged the best was when I made a list of weekly tasks and checked them off as I got them done (ahead of schedule). Thanks for the reminders here, I need to get back to my list making.

Abby…There have been seasons in my life where I have slacked on my list making and planning. The good thing is we can pick up right where we are. I am always blessed to have you visit my sweet friend. Blessings to you. :-)

    Hello Naomi,

I love your insight in the Proverbs 31 woman. Yes, this is shared not to shame us, but to inspire. I am sometimes industrious, but at other times I can be overwhelmed by the busyness of life. Thankfully, God never changes, and loves me anyway. I am also hosting a giveaway this week – a signed copy of Fulfilled by Danise Jurado. Visit for your chance to win :)

Kamea…I agree the busyness of life can overwhelm us. I have learned the hard way that I need to be even more on top of things when life gets crazy busy. I will be sure to visit your blog. Thank you for sharing. Blessings. :-)
