(A photo from a wedding shoot I recently helped with. I love this shot.)
Today is October 4, 2015 (Sunday evening entry)
The weather outside is chilly, windy and rain showers here and there. Today I can say autumn is officially here. Yes!
I shared a sweet time away with my Love this last week. He had a conference in AZ and I tagged along. I will say I did NOT like the heat in AZ. It was never below 102 degrees! Craziness.
My reading agenda finds me still working through Self Raised (sequel to Ishmael) and working through a blogging course as well as reading material on blogging. Since I love it, I want to be the best I can at it. So, what would like to see me blog about?
I am looking forward to the balloon fiesta this week. Oh, the balloons are such a beautiful highlight to our fall season. Pictures to come, I hope.
I am disappointed that my daughter was let go at her job. We knew they were going to do cuts but we prayed she wouldn’t be one. However, she is handling this disappointment well and looking else where for another job. I know God is doing a good thing in her life and we trust Him with that.
One project I am working on is getting back into photography more consistently. The photo I shared above is just one of many I took when I assisted at a wedding. I do like that shot a lot.
Healthwise, I am one pound away from my goal. It has been a humbling journey and the Lord has not forsaken me. Moreover, He has answered my prayers concerning this journey I embarked on a few months ago. So, thankful to see results and to gain wisdom along the way.
In my kitchen, I am wanting to make homemade applesauce along with more soups and stews. Okay, this season begs for it, right?
I am thankful for the job my husband has. He is a good leader to those under him and so knowledgeable in his area of work. The Lord has gifted him well and I am grateful to see how He is working through him.
For dinner, its leftovers or cereal. At the writing of this, I am still undecided.
A favorite quote: “Hypocrisy can plunge the mind of a man into a dark abyss, when he believes his own self-flattery instead of God’s verdict.” (John Calvin)
Thank you all for linking up last week. I read some great posts. What will you share this week?
