Monday’s Musings #187 & Balloons

I mentioned sharing our fun at the Balloon Fiesta through pictures. It’s one of the most beautiful events we attend every year. This year we were able to go twice: once for the mass ascension in the morning and once for the balloon glow in the evening. Both are so fabulous to view.

We also were able to balloon chase one morning. This we do off site and watch for where balloons land so we can help them. It’s lots of fun to help and most balloonists appreciate the assistance especially if their crew hasn’t arrived yet.

And after the balloon glow, there is always fireworks! Truly, so much fun! Well, here you go. Enjoy the balloons.

Gleniece…Thank you! Maybe one day you will get to see them with your own eyes. I’m excited to have you link up friend. Have a fabulous week. :-)

Sarah…Thank you! Yes, the balloon glow is pretty cool to see. They usually have a countdown to when all the balloons light up at the same time then they flicker. It’s really cool! So glad to have you visit. :-)

Seeing these pictures brought back such wonderful memories. Our family had the wonderful opportunity to visit friends in New Mexico, not once, but twice, during Balloon Fiesta week! It was my first trip to the Southwest. I remember we got up at 5 a.m. to head down to the fields for the mass ascension and I was in such awe that first of all I was in New Mexico and then able to be there for the Balloon Fiesta.

The second time we went we were able to go to the night glow as well. That was amazing!

Thank you so much for sharing!

Karen…How awesome you got to visit the fiesta! Then, you know how beautiful it is to view. I’m glad you liked your visit to NM. The southwest really is a sight to see. Have a fabulous week. :-)

Mary…They are pretty big. Sometimes people run when they start deflating and fall to the ground. They can’t hurt you but the idea that something that huge is coming down on you can be scary. We chase them so this doesn’t phase us much. Thank you for visiting. :-)

O.K. so this has almost nothing to do with your beautiful post about the balloons, but I just have to say that “balloon” is my grandson’s first word (only he says it “ba-GOON”), and, Naomi, I can’t even imagine what his response would be to all those HUGE and beautiful balloons you photographed!

Michele…How precious is your grandson! I love it! He would definitely be in awe if he saw one of those balloons in person. Maybe one day he will. Always love having you stop by. :-)

Gwen…I have never been up in a balloon either. I really don’t want to do that but I do enjoy photographing them, chasing them and meeting the pilots. We get pilots and balloons from all over world so its cool meeting them. It’s super cool you’ve experienced a balloon fiesta. I do hope you have a fabulous week. :-)
