How I Maintained My Body After Birth?

Gaining weight is a normal process that comes with pregnancy. Several times in the past, the weight gain of celebrities have made headlines. I loved my body before I became pregnant for my first child but I think I love it more after the delivery. The moment your baby leaves your body, you lose 11 to 13 lbs. Getting back to your exact weight before pregnancy may be a myth but there are lots of healthy ways I would recommend to you to shed most of the ‘baby fats’.

Watch Your Calorie Intake

I have a weird craving for chocolate whenever I am pregnant. However, the moment I put to bed, the first thing I try to do is to cut down on my intake of junk foods. I am not recommending placing yourself on a protein diet because you will need a balanced diet for your breast milk. Just cut out the excess and feed more on natural foods.

Breastfeed Your Baby

I have heard a few women decline to breastfeed their babies because, according to them, it makes them lose the shape of their body. This is a myth. Breastfeeding can actually help you lose weight because a lot of calories (as much as 800 calories a day) go into that act.

Exercise

After six weeks of delivery, moms can start exercising—the kind of exercise they were indulging themselves at the early stage of pregnancy. You don’t need to join the gym or indulge in any strenuous exercise because your baby is enough weight. You can do lunges while holding your baby to your chest do a brisk walk every day.

Sex

Get back to sex as soon as you can because it is not only good for you emotionally but can also help you physically to lose weight.
